Picnicking With Children Can Be Easy and Fun

Picnicking with children can sound very involved and like a lot of work... but it really doesn't have to be.

There are things you can do to get your children involved and make picnicking really easy and fun. If you think that picnicking has to involve loading coolers with ice and packing everyone and everything into the car, you're wrong.
You can have a picnic with your children at home in your own yard. Get them involved in the process.
Younger children will especially like this, as they like to feel involved and grown up.

Let them spread peanut butter and jam onto some slices of bread for sandwiches, or let them bag up individual bags of pretzels or crackers into small sandwich bags. Have a few refrigerated bottles of water or soda ready and maybe a few other snacks and pack everything into a picnic basket or insulated bag, grab a blanket and head out to your back yard.
Consider bringing along a card game that everyone can enjoy, or perhaps a story that you can read to them.

Lay out your blanket in a shady spot in the grass and relax and have fun.
Then when you get hungry you can all enjoy the nice picnic lunch you prepared together.
Even older kids can get into this.
My daughter is 12 and still asks to picnic in the yard in the summer.Family time doesn't have to be stressful and boring..

.
it can be fun for both you and your kids.
